Power of Storytelling Workshop January 24-25

Calling all aspiring writers, speakers, and happiness-seekers:

Do you want to explore writing as a pathway to mindfulness and healing? Do you currently write in solitude, but yearn to share your stories aloud?

In the Power of Storytelling workshop with storyteller Molly McCloy and psychotherapist Karen Olson, you will write true stories to rediscover your empowerment, to question old belief systems, and to reveal your authentic self as the hero of your life journey. You will share these stories aloud and witness the stories of others. And you will experience the powerful benefits of storytelling and story-sharing: happiness, serenity, and a more deeply satisfying connection with the people around you.

Please join us for this unique writing workshop focused on wellbeing and personal transformation.

Molly McCloy is a four-time Moth StorySLAM winner and holds an M.F.A. in Creative Nonfiction from The New School. After witnessing the healing power of story-sharing during her storytelling performances and while teaching college Creative Nonfiction workshops, Molly decided to teach narrative craft that specifically promotes personal growth and mental health benefits.

Karen Olson is not an award-winning storyteller, but has gotten really good at listening to other people’s stories! She enjoys witnessing people and their experiences in a therapeutic setting.
After twenty-five years working as a psychotherapist she found herself wow’ed when she took Molly’s Creative Nonfiction class for the first time in 2017. She’s been entranced ever since with the powerful effect of writing and sharing stories with others and sees it as a really cost effective form of therapy!
